Our Program

Brookfield Haddon Heights Campus an elementary and middle school work with students of average and above-average intelligence whose learning and emotional needs require individualized planning supporting the students existing IEP. The B.E.S.T. Program, located on the Haddon Heights Campus, provides a safe, welcoming classroom environment that serves students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Students in the B.E.S.T.. program have a primary diagnosis of ASD, however can also have comorbid symptomology related to depression, anxiety, and attentional needs.

The B.E.S.T. program operates within the same Brookfield School ideology which is a trauma-sensitive/trauma-informed approach. Each student is assigned a trained TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) therapist. The classroom consists of a certified teacher, an RBT (registered behavior technician), and a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) who oversees the classroom behavioral management. The program utilizes a multi-disciplinary team approach that addresses emotional regulation, social cues, behavior, and educational progress. An evidence-based curriculum and behavior management system are applied in the classroom to monitor progress toward the student’s goals.
