Showing off the handmade paper students spent today's lesson creating. The internet was unavailable to us for the day, so this project was our “plan B” but turned out to be such a success. I pulled out the papermaking kit and we all got creative. Students explained to me the difference between computer paper and construction paper. We then discussed how paper is made and the went on to make our own. Turns out, it’s a very wet, squishy, and messy combination! Finally, we discussed the differences between the 3 different kinds of papers and what we might add or do differently the next time.
